alertlogo1Residents can get updates by phone or e-mail with the WoodlandsAlert System a service offered by the Township that allows Woodlands residents to receive updates about everything from community safety to parks and recreation programs.

“WoodlandsAlert allows residents to sign up to receive the information they choose in the format that they choose to receive it,” said John Raybon, neighborhood services manager. “This will be an added benefit to residents, especially those who are members of The Woodlands Watch network.”

In addition to replacing The Woodlands Watch telephone network system, which communicates public safety messages, WoodlandsAlert also provides updates about:

Aquatics – including programs and the 13 community pools.

Assessments – including information about annual fees.

Covenants – including The Woodlands’ standards and deed restrictions.

Environmental Services – including information on trash service, recycling, mosquitoes and water conservation.

Neighborhood Services – including information on crime prevention, Woodlands Watch and public safety.

Parks and Recreation – including construction, pathway closures and traffic information.

The Woodlands Recreation Center – including recreation programs and special events information.

The Woodlands Fire Department – including emergency preparedness tips and hazardous/non-hazardous conditions in The Woodlands.
